IMPORTANT!!!  PLEASE READ!!!
With the potential for inclement weather on Friday evening, we want all students to have a pair of blue jeans with them when they report to BWHS for the game.

Our intention is to wear full uniforms for the game, but we want to have the option to have students wear jeans and their BWHS Band raincoats.

We will make the decision as to what we are wearing closer to game time.

Labor Day Performance Info!

We will be performing on Labor Day on the Sunbury square on Monday, Sept. 1st at the Lions Club Ox Roast.

Students should report to the square in SUMMER UNIFORM at 9:45 am with instruments.  We will be done performing by 10:30 am.

The HS will be open on Labor Day at approximately 9:00 am for students to get instruments.

This is a GRADED PERFORMANCE for all band and color guard members!

Game Information!
Game 2 - Friday, August 29th:  Home vs. Chillicothe
Students should report at 6:15 pm.

Students should report to BWHS between 6:00 and 6:15 pm.

We plan on being in "full uniform" so students should have black socks with them as well as their black shoes
(shoes are in for those who ordered them!).

Students should also bring blue jeans with them to the game.  In case of inclement weather, we may elect to have the band wear jeans and their raincoats.  We like to have this option open to us!

Trumpets and Tenor Saxes have hospitality (see below).

Reminder:  All band and color guard members are expected to remain football games for the ENTIRE game!

This will be Senior Recognition Night!!!

Performance Venue Change!

We originally planned to compete at Bloom Carroll HS on the evening of Oct. 18th.  In order to avoid a conflict with the Homecoming Dance that was scheduled, we will be competing in the AFTERNOON at Newark High School.

There is still no conflict with the District Cross Country Meet that day (at Watkins...about 20 min. from Newark), and students will have plenty of time after the performance in the afternoon to get back and get ready for the dance.

Home Game Hospitality
At each home game, the Big Walnut Music Boosters provide a hospitality tent for the visiting band as well as members of "The Pride of Big Walnut".

Different sections rotate as to whom is to provide the refreshments for each game.  When your student's section is listed, we ask that you should send to the game:

2-3 dozen full size cookies OR 3 packages of store-purchased cookies
AND
24 cans of pepsi or coke products

Hospitality Schedule:
Aug. 22 vs. Westerville Central:  Clarinets and Alto Saxes
